RE: Python causing issue on MSO56
Please send the Python code that you were testing. When you try to reset the scope, does the scope seem like it is turning on? For example, do any of the button lights turn on or do you hear the fans running? Does anything show up on the screen?

RE: Purchasing Questions
All of our scopes come standard with 1 bandwidth matched passive probe per analog scope channel (up to 1GHz bandwidth). Unless you have a requirement for differential measurements or have some other specific requirements that would require an active probe those should work well for you.
I do wonder why you are looking at the MDO3032. Incase you were not aware, the 3 Series MDO was release as a direct replacement to that platform a few years ago and matches or exceeds all features and specs at a slightly lower price point. If you want to take a look at that scope series, you can do so here: https://www.tek.com/en/products/oscilloscopes/3-series-mdo

RE: Programmatic read Clip?
To query if a channel is clipping, you can use the command CH
:CLIPping? and replace with the channel number. The scope will then return a 0 or 1, with 0 indicating the channel is not clipping. -
RE: MSO58
To change the measurements source use the command, MEASUrement:MEAS
:SOUrce CH -
RE: Software recommendations
The best software to pair with the DMM7510 is going to be Kickstart. You can download the software here: https://www.tek.com/en/software/kickstart/2-8-0
It is a paid software, but there should be a free trial that you can use to ensure that it meets your requirements.

2. Push the System bottom bezel button until Config is selected.
3. Push the TekSecure Erase Memory bottom bezel button.
4. Push the OK Erase Setup & Ref Memory side bezel button.

RE: Probes that are compatible with the DPO7254
The DPO7000 uses the TekVPI interface so it is compatible with many of the probes we offer. You can view a full list of compatible probes and any needed adapters with the tool at this link: https://www.tek.com/en/probe-selector If you're looking for a differential probe I'd point you toward the TDP3500, otherwise the TAP2500 might offer what you're looking for in a single ended probe. You can email buy@tektronix.com when you're ready to order.

RE: Probe testing for the TPP0500B
The probe comp procedure is the only published procedure for testing TPP0500B. If you connected a sine wave and you got a sine wave, it sounds like your probe is good.

RE: Probes for the Tektronix 7934 Storage Oscilloscope
We no longer make any probes that are compatible with the 7934 mainframe and the modules that made up the scope. We are sorry that we have no replacement.
