  • RE: Reading measurement data from Keithley SourceMeter 2602A

Wed, 23 Nov 2022 14:42:03 GMT – Reading measurement data from Keithley SourceMeter 2602A
    Hello,
Can you supply a copy of your code?
This will help diagnose where the issue may lie.

  • RE: Pauses when recording a large buffer in Digi V mode

Wed, 23 Nov 2022 14:32:09 GMT – Pauses when recording a large buffer in Digi V mode
    Hello,
Apologies for the late response, I noticed this had been sitting here unanswered for a few weeks.
This is a bug that is known and we are working on a solution.
Can you tell me what firmware version you used previously where there was no issue? I would recommend downgrading to that version to fit your applications until a fix is presented.
If you can not find the firmware version that you need, where there was no pause in data entry, please open a case with our technical support center and we can work with you individually. If you make a case with us, please reference your TekTalk forum post so we can sort it out to the correct team.

Thu, 17 Nov 2022 16:01:23 GMT – Error code 1138 of doing voltage sweep on 2450 by Kickstart
    Hello,
I would recommend updating to the latest firmware version found at the link below and see if that fixes this bug, as we may have patched it in a previous release.

  • RE: DAQ6510 4-Wire Resistance Sample Rate

    Mon, 14 Nov 2022 16:02:18 GMT – DAQ6510 4-Wire Resistance Sample Rate
    Hello,
There are a few ways to get to an acquisition rate around 10kHz, by setting your NPLC to a set number such as somewhere around .006 to be around that ballpark. However, there is also a few other factors that you will need to consider such as firmware overhead, auto range, any filters you may be using, switching relay (open and closing of the relays IF using a switching card), and settling time for example- all of which will alter your sample rate. It may take some trial and error to find the sweet spot for stable 10kHz acquisitions. This is the most brute force method to fit your needs, aside from what you had mentioned previously about setting a fixed readings per second rate. But, again, this may change some settings. Hopefully this provides some insight and a good starting point!
For other measurements, for future notice, you can utilize the built-in digitizer. However, this does not work with resistance measurements of any kind. Only current and voltage (AC and DC signals).
  • RE: DMM6500 Timer bug

    Mon, 14 Nov 2022 15:19:40 GMT – DMM6500 Timer bug
    Hello,
My first guess to combat this issue you're encountering is ensuring you are running your instrument on the latest firmware version. See Menu>System>Info-Management and the firmware will be displayed at the top left of your screen. The latest firmware can be found at the link below, version 1.7.12. The instructions on upgrading can be found at that same link under the release notes.

    Thu, 10 Nov 2022 16:43:05 GMT – Problem Using DMM6500 with 2000-Scan Card
    Hello,
I do not believe the driver supports scanning with the DMM6500. The example you're referencing states it's a DAQ6510 example, which would explain why the error is saying that the command is not supported by the DMM6500. See attached picture for DAQ ONLY capable commands.

    Hello Bernhard,
This App note performs a similar operation. This could be a great starting point and to sort out some issues you are having.

  • RE: Negative Power Supply Through Keithley 2230G-60-3

Wed, 26 Oct 2022 13:49:38 GMT – Negative Power Supply Through Keithley 2230G-60-3
    Hello Mishra,
Unfortunately, that series of power supplies cannot be programmed to supply negative voltage. However, if you swap the leads, red lead plugged in to black/negative channel output, and the black lead plugged in to the red/positive channel output, you can supply a negative voltage through your DUT or Device Under Test.
  • RE: Help me communication between DMM6500 and computer!

Tue, 25 Oct 2022 13:31:47 GMT – Help me communication between DMM6500 and computer!
To establish communication between your computer and DMM6500, you will need VISA such as TekVISA, Ni-MAX, or another VISA of your choosing, and a communication protocol of your choosing that is compatible with the DMM6500.
I will attach the User's Manual below here. See Section 3 to determine which communication protocol you are going to establish.

Mon, 24 Oct 2022 14:45:33 GMT – 2602B TSP command equivalent to the EXIT (LOCAL) front panel button
    Brian,
Unfortunately, to return the instrument from remote operations mode to local mode, this will require a button press from the front panel.
